Images 36: Best of British Illustration
Images 36: Best of British Illustration arrives at somerset house, organised by AOI (Association of Illustrators) on the 3rd October and carries on through until the 28th October giving us just enough time to view the winning work from 50 UK artists who entered the AOI’s flagship competition IMAGES. Showcasing exciting new talent and established names alike, Chris Haughton (Booktrust best new Illustrator) is among the many exciting names to have work feature in Images 36.
The winners are selected but a specially chosen expert panel including Illustrators, Agents and publishers which guarentees that the work will be diverse and of the highest quality. Internationally acclaimed artists such as Noma Bar and David Foldvari are amongst this year’s judges alongside Art Directors from Guardian G2, Granta Publications, Hodder & Stoughton and Random House, as well as Creative Directors from leading design and digital agencies. The exhibition is completely free so there is no excuse to not pop down to Somerset House in October.
Images 36 also offer an opportunity every Sunday, from 14.15–14.45 during the exhibition, to listen to one featured artist giving a unique insight into their work and how they go about their professional practice all for free! Places are bookable on a first-come-first-served basis in the exhibition on the day; after booking, please arrive ten minutes in advance of the tour.
