The Olympic Journey

The great British summer is here (despite the weather!) and we are all getting excited about the Olympics already! We are always looking for inspiration from events happening in London – an exhibition of artefacts, graphics, photographs, film and audio from the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, is another great opportunity! It is on show in London for the first time, telling the story of the Oympic Games through the endeavours and achievements of ancient and modern Olympians.

Displays include Olympic medals and torches, and a ‘Hall of Champions’, featuring the stories of athletes from the modern Games, as well as sections dedicated to the first Olympics held in Ancient Greece and the work of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the man behind the revival of the Games many centuries later.
