Disobedient Objects

Disobedient Objects showcases collective creativity that defies standard definitions of art and design exploring the powerful role that objects play in movements for social change, demonstrating how political activism drives a wealth of design ingenuity.
The exhibition focuses on the period from the late 1970s to the present, with an extensive range of objects from all over the world on display, from Chilean folk art textiles that document political violence, a graffiti-writing robot through to giant inflatable cobblestones thrown at demonstrations.
Constable: The Making of a Master

This major exhibition reveals how Constable combined a homage to the old masters with a revolutionary approach to capturing light and atmosphere. Discover the method behind the masterpieces as Constable’s most famous paintings are reunited with his ground-breaking preparatory oil sketches. Also on display will be works from the artist’s personal collection – a vital resource for his own practice – as well as engravings of his designs made in the last decade of Constable’s life to secure his lasting legacy.
Horst: Photographer of Style

Horst P. Horst was one of the leading photographers of the 20th-century. In his illustrious career, Horst traversed the worlds of art, fashion, theatre and high society and was one of Vogue’s star photographers. This exhibition presents his most iconic fashion images and explores Horst’s less well-known work alongside his creative process, influences and legacy as a master photographer.
