Schedule
Days: Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 4 pm
Tuition: 9 am-12 noon
Self-Study: 1 pm – 4 pm
Afternoon Study: Students are expected to continue their morning study independently each afternoon and to be ready to share their work the following morning to receive helpful feedback. In this way, you can fully benefit from our portfolio course programme.
Online Study: LAP uses Zoom. Please have PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, or the Google Suite already set up on your computer, with plenty of space available plus an external drive or USB.
It is essential that your independent follow up study continues, whether your studies are online or onsite. Full attendance is expected.
This summer portfolio course is the perfect way to build up a portfolio step by step over the 10 weeks, for a range of application levels, such as Foundation Course, Degree, Masters, professional development or a career change.
On the 24 Week Summer Portfolio Course, you will be introduced to a range of materials, processes and techniques, which is ideal for both beginners and the more advanced client. Much emphasis is placed on idea development and concept building. You will be given professional support throughout this process, which will lead to selecting some ideas to develop further into a few serious outcomes.
The London Art Portfolio Preparation courses are a fantastic way to meet new people in the creative arts. The 10 Week Summer Portfolio Course will not only extend your knowledge of Critical and Contextual Studies whilst deepening your understanding of historical and contemporary art and design. Drawing and research visits to Museums and contemporary art galleries in London play an important part in the LAP curriculum programme.

FINAL PORTFOLIO
When you complete a Portfolio Course at LAP the aim is for you to leave with a creative, innovative portfolio, well thought through and well presented for a range of personal goals. Full attendance is required, and all students need to follow the course programme closely and be willing to extend work in their personal time.
Portfolio Course: You will complete the course with a prepared portfolio that will present a range of hands-on drawing skills alongside 2D and 3D design skills. This is all essential for successful University and work applications. LAP students can draw and design by hand and use a range of computer-aided design programmes. Personal goals and aspirations are considered throughout.
One-One Mentoring: A very bespoke portfolio. Clients can contact us for specific portfolio preparation. This can focus on specific University or professional portfolio requirements, i.e Physical Portfolio, hands-on skills, Digital Portfolio, Digital skills, a professional design project, Fine Art Gallery exhibition support, Curatorial advice or particular creative arts business support.
We help you design a portfolio that can meet your individual needs and requirements.
Many of our tutees have built up their portfolio with a summer course alongside One-One Tutorial support, which allows you to focus on your whole UCAS application process.
Reference opportunity for committed portfolio tutees. For dedicated students, this can also lead to receiving a very supportive reference from London Art Portfolio for your Foundation, UCAS Undergraduate, or Masters applications. We have a close working relationship with the University of the Arts London and University of Creative Arts London, Goldsmiths, Brighton Art School and many more art and design education institutions in the UK and elsewhere!
Advanced booking of 1-1 tutorials is necessary for both application statements and references..
