London Art Portfolio’s 12 Week 3D Design Portfolio Preparation Course is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and create a successful portfolio. Students will develop 2 completely different projects from scratch, learning fundamental skills crucial for school or university application. Keeping our course groups small and intimate allows students to reach their full potential and ultimate success with their future applications and professional careers.
Our course welcomes students of all levels—beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners, ranging from students preparing for Foundation and Degree applications or professionals seeking career changes. We cater to diverse learning needs and personal circumstances with flexible teaching formats and comprehensive support. Choose from onsite, online, or hybrid learning to suit your lifestyle and preferences.
Throughout the course, our tutors, all practising artists, and designers, prioritise research and offer ongoing feedback to help you build a strong visual journey for your portfolio. You will also have the opportunity to be introduced to computer-aided design software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects or 3D Rhino. Upon completion, you will have a well-rounded portfolio showcasing your breadth of hands-on drawing and 2D/3D design skills, which are crucial for university and job applications. Our longer courses will also allow you to gain a clearer insight into what kind of artist or designer you are becoming.
You can also enhance your experience by booking One-One Tutorials to supplement the course to further develop your start-up portfolio and consolidate your critical thinking, historical knowledge, and contextual understanding.

I cannot praise the school enough! I came to LAP with very little artistic experience or knowledge, but with the guidance and skills of Julia and her team, I quickly caught up! I don’t think I would have ever been offered a place at Kingston University, or been invited for an interview at St Martins, had it not been for LAP.
