“During the pandemic, I started having 1-1 sessions back in May 2020 to prepare my portfolio to apply for interior design. Before having the actual sessions, I communicated with the institution and Julia (my main tutor) to schedule the days and times of my classes which were online by zoom based on my time zone. Everything was really organized and planned, and I knew exactly what to do for each lesson.
Taking the 1-1 sessions truly helped me to build up my portfolio ( I started from scratch), and I was able to get into all the five universities that I applied for in the UK for the Bachelor’s program ( University of the Arts London (Camberwell College of Arts) Interior and spatial design, Kingston University Interior design, Arts University Bournemouth Interior architecture and design, University of Derby interior design and Bath spa university interior design).
I took the online sessions with Julia and other tutors for about 3 months, and I did different projects, researches and creative design development sheets. I also learned Photoshop with Dexter and perspective courses with John, which amazed the universities I had an interview with.
London art Portfolio also supported me with my personal statement for UCAS, and they helped me create a strong digital portfolio for all of my universities.
I owe Julia a big thank you! I’m so happy that I found this institution and booked my sessions despite the challenges with online school and the pandemic. Having the sessions with Julia definitely Played an important role in my success in getting accepted into all my choices. She was very understanding and supportive, and I learned a lot from her. I did not know anything about the work that I have to put in my portfolio and having these sessions really helped me expand my knowledge and think creatively. I never thought I would get into all of my choices, and I have never felt so confident and happy about my work.
I am looking forward to attending the University of the Arts London ( Camberwell College of Arts) to study BA interior and spatial design.
I also want to thank my other tutors, Dexter and John, for their brilliant lessons on Photoshop and Perspective drawing, which played a major role in the strength and success of my portfolio.
I recommend taking courses with London Art portfolio to everyone at any level. They help you build a strong and amazing portfolio for any level, and they support you through your way in any possible way.”

“I attended the 12-week Portfolio Course at London Art Portfolio; it was the best decision I have ever made. I have learned much quicker, which was crucial for me to get accepted at many universities. Julia figured out how to help and support us, students, by creating a physical and digital portfolio, despite any challenges caused through Covid19.
We had a hybrid approach, which meant that we visited a few galleries and museums for research and sketching and had many informative and creative online sessions.
The best thing about this blended approach was that I could continue taking part, even as I returned to Germany. Julia is a fantastic teacher, which helped each one of us to challenge our weaknesses and supported our strengths.
The LAP team knew precisely what the universities I wanted to apply to, look for and helped me create the perfect portfolio. The results demonstrated a broad skill set, which I have developed over time with LAP in my own personal way.
I applied for Bachelor Degree in Architecture Design at all of the following places:
In London, I was accepted by the well-known AA, The Architectural Association School of Architecture, UAL – The University of Arts London and the University of Westminster. Outside of London, I was accepted by Russell Group Universities such as Cardiff and Oxford Brooks University, which I was delighted about. Additionally, I was offered a place in NYC at the Parsons School of Design – The New School.”

“Julia taught me for 12 weeks during the portfolio course. Despite the lockdown situation in London, she managed to adapt to an online teaching method via zoom, which helped me develop a physical and a digital portfolio simultaneously. Julia was exceptional at teaching, researching and process recording and provided many resources to enrich these essential parts of my portfolio. Throughout the course, Julia was committed to responding to your personal needs and wishes and managed to give career advice along the way. Within the 12 weeks, I received two weeks of Photoshop coaching by Dexter. He introduced me to Photoshop and its gridding tool, which helped me later on when organising the layout of my portfolio. I attended the course to redirect my skills learnt in my Bachelor in Management into the art and design sector. The course has transformed my way of working entirely and helped me create a very successful portfolio. With the portfolio I’ve created at London Art Portfolio School, I’ve received an offer to study at Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts, Kingston University and the Royal College of Art.”

“I took the 12-week portfolio building course from December 2020 to March 2021 and had an absolutely incredible experience with LAP. Julia is an experienced teacher with a vast amount of knowledge in the arts and portfolio design. Even during COVID working remotely, Julia was attentive and took incredible care of both the other students and me to ensure we got into the schools of our choice (I received offers from both UAL & Ravensbourne, which were my top two choices – I ended up accepting UAL’s offer for placement in their Critical Practice in Fashion Media course). Julia, JD, & Dexter all helped me hone my skills in photoshop, collage, fashion illustration, draping, and writing. If you want a teacher who’s passionate about her students, look no further!”
