London Art Portfolio’s 18 Week Architecture & Spatial Design Portfolio Preparation Course is an excellent opportunity for students who are seriously planning to apply for universities or jobs to create a successful portfolio whilst building up confidence in who they are as an artist or designer. We have in-depth knowledge of the UK and International education systems and can quickly identify what is required for your portfolio!
Our course welcomes students of all levels—beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners, ranging from students preparing for Foundation and Degree applications or professionals seeking career changes. We cater to diverse learning needs and personal circumstances with flexible teaching formats and comprehensive support. Choose from onsite, online, or hybrid learning to suit your lifestyle and preferences.
Throughout the course, students will develop 3 different projects, with our tutors, all practising artists, and designers offering ongoing feedback to help you build a strong visual journey for your portfolio. Some students may also have the option to expand and extend on one of their two projects in the final 6-week block, subject to approval by the tutor and course leader, to further develop into a major project with a significant amount of focused work.
Our longer course structures also allow students to be introduced to computer-aided design software such as Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, or 3D Rhino, and extend these skills much further than on our shorter courses. The aim is to start being more experimental in the latter part of the course, and begin to find and build confidence in your own artistic or design identity.
Upon completion, you will have a well-rounded portfolio with 3 distinct projects that showcase your breadth of hands-on drawing and 2D/3D design skills, which are crucial for university and job applications.
You can also enhance your experience by booking One-One Tutorials to supplement the course to further develop your start-up portfolio and consolidate your critical thinking, historical knowledge, and contextual understanding.
Small group sizes with full attendance should lead to success for committed students!
