London Art Portfolio’s 6 Week Architecture & Spatial Design Portfolio Preparation Course is ideal for students who want to invest a run of weeks developing their art or design ideas and skills for school, university, or job applications. You will learn fundamental drawing skills, research engaging portfolio projects, receive career advice, and explore London’s creative scene.
Our course welcomes students of all levels—beginners, intermediates, and advanced learners, ranging from students preparing for Foundation and Degree applications or professionals seeking career changes. We cater to diverse learning needs and personal circumstances with flexible teaching formats and comprehensive support. Choose from onsite, online, or hybrid learning to suit your lifestyle and preferences.
Throughout the course, our tutors, all practising artists, and designers, prioritise research and offer ongoing feedback to help you build a strong visual journey for your portfolio. You will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop in Week 5, allowing you to extend your work from the first 4 weeks. Upon completion, you will have a well-rounded portfolio showcasing your breadth of hands-on drawing and digital skills, which are crucial for university and job applications.
For students wanting to enhance their experience, you can also book One-One Tutorials to supplement the course to further develop your portfolio and consolidate your critical thinking, historical knowledge, and contextual understanding.

For a successful portfolio, students should use their afternoons wisely. Classes run from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by independent study. This applies to all students, on-site, online, or hybrid, and LAP students are adept at managing their afternoon work.
