We deliver onsite studio art and design portfolio preparation courses, online portfolio courses, and 1-1- tuition. This applies to all of our art classes. We also deliver a Hybrid approach which allows more flexibility. This can be very helpful for many reasons: lifestyle choices,  you may be living in between countries or places, you may be too unwell to travel but can still join the group and continue your studies online, or you may need to keep your accommodation, living and travel costs down. We understand your personal decisions; the choice is yours. We can teach and reach out to anyone in the world. Beginners, career change applicants and professionals are all welcome. The London Art Portfolio Preparation courses are a fantastic way to meet new people in the creative arts. You will also extend your knowledge in Critical and Contextual Studies and build up your knowledge of both historical and contemporary artists and designers, perfect for your portfolio and the interview process. The London Art Portfolio Preparation courses are a fantastic way to meet new people in the creative arts. LAP students are from London, around the UK, Europe, and the world. WHAT WE DO

The 1-week course at London Art Portfolio offers you the opportunity to build up an art and design portfolio with a focused major portfolio project supported by drawing and model-making skills, a sketchbook, strong research and an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. You can block build this course programme into a 12-week and 18-week art portfolio preparation programme.

You will be introduced to handmade skills and ideas and a kick-start introduction to Adobe Photoshop. We fully maximize the wonders London offers in the creative arts by visiting various art and design museums and art galleries. Upon completion of the course, you will have a well-prepared portfolio ready to use for future university applications or job interviews. Throughout the course, you will build up an art and design vocabulary, which will allow you to be far more prepared for a face-to-face interview son online on Zoom or Teams. interview

You will receive specific career advice and direction with the opportunity to discuss future personal goals and aspirations in more depth. We are very familiar with the education systems worldwide and their specific requirements. The 6-week Art Portfolio Preparation Course can help you prepare for UK, EU and International University applications.

During the 1-Week Course, you will receive ongoing feedback. Experienced portfolio tutors will support you throughout this process. All tutors are professional, practising artists and designers; many are directors of their own established design companies.

London Art Portfolio will help you prepare for your future University Art School applications for UK, EU and International Universities. FINAL PORTFOLIO

Portfolio Course:

You will complete the course with a prepared portfolio that will present a range of hands-on drawing skills alongside 2D and 3D design skills. This is all essential for successful University and work applications. LAP students can draw and design by hand and use various computer-aided design programmes. Personal goals and aspirations are considered throughout.

One-One Mentoring:

A very bespoke portfolio. This can focus on specific University or professional portfolio requirements, i.e  Physical Portfolio, hands-on skills, Digital Portfolio, Digital skills, professional design project, Fine Art Gallery exhibition support, Curatorial advice or particular creative arts business support. SCHEDULE

Days: Monday – Thursday
Time: 9 am – 4 pm
Tuition: 9 am-12 noon
Self-study: 1 pm – 4pm

Afternoon Study:

Students are expected to continue their morning study independently each afternoon and to be ready to share their work the following morning to receive helpful feedback. You need to follow the course closely, whether online or onsite studies. Full attendance is required. In this way, you can fully benefit from our portfolio course programme. Online study:

LAP uses Zoom. Please have PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, or the Google Suite already set up on your computer, with plenty of space available plus an external drive or USB.


A 1-Week Course is ideal for clients who want to invest some weeks or months into developing their art or design work, building a portfolio for a Foundation Course, Higher Education application, professional development and a career change. This course includes an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. Beginners to advanced levels are welcome.

It is perfect for an artist or designer who wants to return to painting, designing or making again! You will receive professional advice on progressing as an artist or designer and have lots of fun doing it!

You will be introduced to drawing and make full use of London by maximizing the wonders of the fantastic Museums and contemporary art galleries, historic houses and gardens, which are all great for research!

During the 1-week Course programme, you will explore a range of materials, processes, and techniques ideal for beginners and more advanced clients. Much emphasis is placed on idea development and concept building. You will be given professional support throughout this portfolio process, leading to a careful selection of ideas to develop further into a few focused outcomes.
