Matteo Fogale

Matteo Fogale, born in Montevideo (Uruguay) moved to Italy to study at Art School. He studied at the Università Iuav di Venezia (IUAV University of Venice), in the department of Industrial Design, under eminent professors such as Michelle de Lucchi and Tobia Scarpa.During the last year of University he worked as a Graphic Designer for Lokomotive in Treviso and as Product and Furniture Designer with Patricia Urquiola in Milan. From 2007 he joined Nichetto and Partners as Senior Designer in Venice. In 2010 he moved to London to work at Barber Osgerby furniture and product design studio on projects for several clients including Vitra and B&B Italia as well as the Olympic Torch for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since 2014 he collaborates with designer Laetitia De Allegri under the studio name of De Allegri and Fogale working on the fields of interior design, installations, industrial products and bespoke furniture. Their work has been exhibited in various exhibitions and fairs such as London Design Festival, Milan furniture fair and IMM Cologne. They also won a award by Wallpaper Magazine and been commissioned for various installations and shows like Wallpaper Handmade in Milan, V&A Museum for the London Design Festival and Bloomberg HQ in London.
Matteo tutors on both the portfolio course and delivers bespoke 1-1 tutorials, teaching a range of skills and techniques, specialising in model making and CAD for Product Design, Architecture and Car Design amongst other specialist areas
